Communion music
This Sunday we shall be listening to “O Lux beata Trinitas” by Andrej Makor (b. 1987), as performed by Brigham Young University Singers.
This hymn (“O Trinity of blessèd light”), traditionally used at Vespers on Trinity Sunday, is one of many attributed to the fourth-century St Ambrose of Milan, one of the four “Great Church Fathers” of the Latin church. The Slovenian composer, solo singer and choir director Andrej Makor wrote this choral setting in 2013.
